1)Find out who is Guru Rinpoche? Please do some research.

2)Who is TARA? What is the skin color of TARA?

[Green Tara]

[White Tara]

[Yellow Tara]

[Red Tara]

Who is Guru Rinpoche?

“Guru Rinpoche” is a title usually referring to Padmasambhava, an important figure in Vajrayāna (Tantric) Buddhism, especially in Tibet.

  • According to tradition, Padmasambhava lived around the 8th century CE and is credited with bringing tantric Buddhism (Vajrayāna) to Tibet and helping establish the first monasteries there.

  • He is sometimes called the “Second Buddha” in the Tibetan tradition, because he is regarded as a great master who manifested to bring the teachings to Tibet.

  • Many legends surround him: for example, he is said to have subdued local deities or spirits resisting Buddhism, hidden “treasure teachings” (termas) for future revealers, and manifested in multiple emanations to benefit sentient beings.

  • In the doctrinal view, Guru Rinpoche is more than just a historical person: he symbolizes the guru-principle, the enlightened activity of the guru, and is considered a manifestation of primordial wisdom.

Who is Tara? What is the skin color of Tara?

Who is Tara

Tārā (Sanskrit: Tārā) is a female Buddhist deity (bodhisattva or female Buddha, depending on the context) in Mahāyāna and especially Vajrayāna Buddhism.

  • She is often considered an embodiment of compassion, swift action, and protection — she “saves” beings from fear and suffering.

  • In Tibetan Buddhism she is especially prominent. There are many forms (often said to be 21 forms) of Tara, each with different qualities and purposes.

  • Among her most common forms are Green Tara and White Tara. Green Tara is often associated with action, protection, and immediate help, while White Tara is associated with healing, long life, and serenity.

What is the skin color of Tara?

Tara does not have a single fixed “skin color.” Because she manifests in many forms, her depicted color varies, each with symbolic meaning.

  • The most common depiction is Green Tara (green-colored body).

  • Another prominent form is White Tara, in which she is depicted as white.

  • In different traditions, she may also appear in red, blue, yellow, black, etc., depending on the form and the symbolic message.

He was a legendary Indian Buddhist mystic who introduced Tantric Buddhism to Tibet and who is credited with establishing the first Buddhist monastery (Samye Monastery) there. This 8th-century tantric master’s knowledge and extraordinary abilities inspire and guide countless individuals today. He spontaneously materialized within a lotus flower on Dhanakosha Lake in the ancient kingdom of Oddiyana. Rinpoche’s teachings became the cornerstone of the Nyingma tradition, the oldest of the four primary schools of Tibetan Buddhism. He transmitted a vast and profound knowledge, encompassing tantric practices, rituals, and philosophical teachings. He hid many of these teachings as “terma” treasures to be discovered in the future. His teachings include many practices such as Deity Yoga, Mantra Recitation, Mandala Offerings, and Guru Yoga. He had some spiritual powers such as Soring Through the Heavens, Sacred Markings, Commanding the Elements, Taming Malevolent Forces and Treasures of Wisdom (Terma).

Inspired by her grandmother’s silver Hansuli—a crescent-shaped necklace filled with love, history, and cultural pride—Ritika rises from her village to the global stage as an award-winning jewelry designer.

Through shimmering fields of mustard flowers, moonlit nights by the Rapti River, and the wisdom of her grandmother’s stories, Ritika learns why Tharu women wear so much silver: for strength, health, identity, and as a shield of protection. She builds a jewelry workshop in her village, welcomes tourists to wear traditional clothing and ornaments, encourages dances like Sakhiya, Dandiya and Jharra, and inspires women to share their culture with the world. When a visiting tourist offers Ritika a scholarship to study jewelry design in Europe, her dreams grow even brighter.

This beautifully illustrated storybook blends folklore, tradition, and empowerment, showing how one necklace can carry love, memory, and the unbreakable bond of generations.

The Importance of Studying English

Studying English is extremely important in today’s globalized world. English is not just a subject taught in schools; it is a vital tool for communication, education, personal growth, and career development. In this report, I will explain why I believe studying English is essential, providing reasons and examples from real life. First of all, English is the most widely spoken and studied second language in the world. More than 1.5 billion people can speak or understand English, making it a “global language.” When people from different countries meet, they often use English to communicate. For example, if a Japanese tourist asks for directions in Italy, English is likely the language they will both use. Similarly, international organizations like the United Nations, the International Olympic Committee, and even airlines use English as a standard language. This shows how useful and practical English is in everyday life and international settings. Secondly, English is the language of higher education, research, and technology. The majority of scientific papers, medical research, and international journals are written in English. Websites such as Coursera, edX, and Khan Academy offer free online courses, mostly in English. This means that learning English allows access to the latest global knowledge and discoveries. For example, students who want to study artificial intelligence or environmental science can benefit greatly from being able to read materials in English. Without this skill, they would miss out on valuable information and opportunities. Moreover, English improves career opportunities both in Japan and abroad. Many companies, especially multinational corporations, require English skills. Even job advertisements in Japanese often mention “TOEIC 700+ preferred” or “English communication skills required.” My older sister once missed a promotion because her English was not strong enough for a management position. That motivated her to take English night classes and improve her skills. Now she often leads meetings with foreign clients. This shows how English can directly impact your career path.

Another important reason is cultural understanding. English opens the door to enjoying movies, books, music, and global media without translation. Watching Hollywood movies, reading best-selling novels like Harry Potter, or listening to TED Talks in English provides a richer experience and helps develop global awareness. It also makes travel easier and more enjoyable. When I visited Singapore, I was able to ask locals about food, directions, and transportation in English, which made the trip much smoother. Some people may argue that translation apps can replace English learning. However, apps are not perfect, especially in situations that need nuance or emotional expression. Human communication is about more than just words—it’s also about tone, context, and culture. Learning English helps people truly connect beyond the literal meaning of sentences. In conclusion, studying English is not only important—it is necessary. It enables global communication, educational access, professional growth, and cultural understanding. English is a gateway to the world, and those who can use it well have an advantage in life. I strongly believe that everyone, especially students, should make a serious effort to study English and use it as a tool for future success. (516 words)

English is a language spoken all over the world, and there are 58 countries that make English the official language or quasi-official language. And it is said that there are 2.1 billion people who speak English. Therefore, English is used in various situations around the world, including business, academics, tourism, and diplomacy. If you can speak English, you can communicate with people from other countries. Also, most of the information on the Internet is written in English. And many of the world's latest research, technology, and news are first sent in English, so you can get information quickly. You can also access movies and books that are not in Japanese. Information can be collected on overseas forums, academic conferences, and SNS, so you can learn a variety of information. And knowing a lot of information helps you create flexible ideas and new ideas. Because it can handle international business, it is advantageous for career and employment. Many companies are doing business and global expansion not only domestically but also overseas. If you can speak English, you can meet with overseas clients and partners, write emails and reports in English, and travel abroad and be stationed. Human resources who can play such a role are very valuable to companies, so they are easily hired by companies. Overseas travel and study abroad will be smooth. When traveling abroad, if you can use English, you can communicate smoothly with local people, so you will have less trouble in restaurants, hotels, airports, tourist attractions, etc. For example, if you can speak English when asking for the way at a tourist destination abroad or when ordering at a restaurant, things will go smoothly. Also, when there is a problem, if you can speak English, it is easier to ask for help in an emergency. For example, you can calmly deal with cases where you get lost, get sick, or lose your passport. And if you can use English, you can directly use information such as local tourist guides and review sites, and you can plan a more enjoyable trip. When studying abroad, if you can speak English, it will be easier to understand the content of the class and lectures, and the preparation of assignments and reports will be smooth. English proficiency is essential, especially if you attend an English-speaking university such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. In addition, you can have a rich experience even outside of class. If you can use English, it will be easier to make local friends and more opportunities for cultural exchange. For example, communication through club activities, part-time jobs, internships, etc. will be more fun and fruitful. And if you can speak English, you will have less anxiety in all aspects of your daily life, such as finding a place to live, using transportation, and medical care. In addition, the stress of adapting to different cultures will be reduced, making studying abroad more comfortable. So, it is important for us to study English.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is it important to study English? I think it is very important to study English. This is because English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. It is used in many countries not only as a native language but also as a second or official language. When you travel abroad, attend international events, or work with people from other countries, English is often the common language that connects everyone. So, if you want to communicate with people from other countries, it is better to speak English. In my case, I often use English at my part-time job. I work at a ramen shop where there are several foreign staff members. They came to Japan a few months ago and are still learning Japanese, so we usually talk in English. At first, I was nervous about speaking English because I wasn't confident, but I soon realized that even simple English can be enough to communicate. My coworkers are from different countries. They all speak English as a second language, so it becomes a bridge between us. I think it was good that I studied English; otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to communicate well with them or build good relationships. Also, communicating with them has expanded my point of view. We often talk about each other's countries, cultures, and traditional foods. These conversations are always fun and meaningful. We also talk about festivals, school life, and dreams for the future. I can learn many new things that I didn’t know before, and it makes me more interested in other countries. Thanks to these experiences, I have started thinking about studying abroad in the future. Furthermore, English is very useful for future careers. Many global companies adopt English as their official language. If you can speak English well, you will have more chances to get a good job, get promoted, or even work overseas. You can also access more information and resources because a lot of content on the internet, like academic articles and videos, is available in English. Learning English opens the door to many opportunities. Being able to use English is also helpful for academic and information-gathering purposes. Many research papers, scientific articles, and reliable sources of information are written in English. If you can understand English, you can read these materials directly without waiting for translations. This allows you to get the latest information quickly and helps you stay up to date with global trends. In this way, English gives you a big advantage when studying or doing research . In conclusion, I strongly believe that studying English is very important. It helps you connect with people from different cultures, broaden your perspective, and create more opportunities for your future. Even if it’s difficult at first, continuing to study English will bring great benefits. In addition, being able to understand English allows you to access a wider range of information, which is extremely useful for learning and staying informed. (492 words)

Importance of studying English I think studying English is very important. We have many chance to touch English in daily lives. Japan has many foreigner from such as America, France, Korea, and so on. But, many of them can not speak Japanese. English is used in many countries. When you asked something by them and you speak English, you can help. I have another reason. Recently, we can travel overseas easily. However, travel is not the only reason to go abroad. When we have jobs, many opportunities to go on business trips abroad depending on the type of job. If we can speak English very hardly, we can’t get important contracts. Even if it isn’t, Boss not depend on that. You will promotion hardly compare person who can speak English very well. Well, what the English skills we will be necessary? I think it is communication skills. It is the most important and difficult. Word and grammar are improved if we do not give them time. Contrary, reading skills, listening skills, and communication skills are not. Their skills do not improve quickly. In addition, reading skills and listening skills can be practiced alone, but communication skills can’t. we need a partner who can speak English. It is necessary to have an environment where there are other people who speak English to improve communication skills. There are several ways to prepare the environment. First, attend English conversation classes. If we go there, you can talk with professional teachers and other students. Moreover, more motivation to practice English because you have like-minded colleagues who want to improve their communication skills. Second, go abroad. You can learn English from native. This method allows for a great deal of time in contact with English. However, this method has some disadvantages. You need to come up with a lot of money. And, if you don’t have the ability to make a living, you are going to have a pretty hard time making a living. Communication skills are necessary, though, you need vocabulary, grammar, reading skills, and listening skills to compensate for this. A school is a facility where these can be learned efficiently. I have the opportunity to be exposed to English twice a week. I can learn what I need to supplement my communication skills through these two hours. This kind of time is hard to make after you become a working adult. While we are forced to study English, we should learn the basic of the language. Conclusions, English will definitely be useful for such as work, travel, and act of mercy in the future. Studying English is important, especially during the student years when it is easy to create opportunities to come into contact with English. And we need to work on vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and other skills to improve our communication skills. (478words)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

English is important! English is known as a lingua franca, which is a common language used for communication between people who speak different native languages, and used wide variety of fields. For example, international business, science, economy and travel. Such a field we should have a good command of English. So, I believe learning English is important for me. Firstly, effective communication is crucial for thriving in human society. It is generally easy to communicate with people from one's own country. However, what about with people from other countries? If you cannot speak English, you cannot tell your feelings or opinion clearly to other countries people. That can cause trouble, and you cannot gain trust. When I was a high school student I went to Taiwan as a member of delegation. I have the opportunity to socialize with students at a local school there. However, I was only able to have a brief conversation with them because I hadn’t been used to speaking English. Then I found that I lacked speaking skill in English. Many countries have their students learn English. Japan is not an exception, but the Japanese curriculum focuses heavily on grammar and reading comprehension, but there is not much emphasis on conversational practice. Government should change curriculum to enhance student’s speaking skill. Recently, English speaking ability is needed in business, so it will give us an advantage in fob hunting. Moreover, if I can speak English, I can get an in-depth understanding of local culture to communicate local people when I travel other countries, and it makes my trip more enjoyable. My trip will be satisfactory. In order to do that, I try to learn English hard. Secondly, we use the internet when we do research. Do you have any idea what percentage of all websites are in websites in Japanese? Only 2.1% of all of website in the world are written in Japanese. While percentage of website written in English is 60.4%. This is approximately 30 times that of Japanese so you will notice that there is limit to the information you can get from Japanese websites alone. If you become being able to read English, you may get more information that isn’t available on Japanese websites. It will be useful to write reports, because you can add more information and write a more substantiated report. Moreover, in most countries, information for foreigners at place like train stations and hotels is written in English. If you have some trouble or face disaster you can take proper action, which is to contact the appropriate authorities and to evacuate to the correct location. I think leaning English is important so that you can get information you need when you need it. In conclusion I think leaning English is essential for me to communicate foreign people to tell my opinion and knowing them and collect more information which I need.

Reunion

---A Short Story by Dr. Astha Tuladhar----

The wind blew her hair across her pretty face. She wafted it away, balancing herself on her bicycle. “What am I going to say to him?” she thought visualizing his face. The dark clouds were sifting above her, faster than she could peddle. Soon it would rain. Without an umbrella, she hoped it wouldn’t be a heavy down pour. The next moment, raindrops hit her face like tiny slaps. Just then, a thunder roared in the skies. On those deserted streets, voices in her mind seemed louder than thunder. A storm was brewing but she had to reach the bus stop.

Soon, tears flowed from her eyes, like rain. Her vision blurred. Finally, after many years, she was going to see him. Raindrops and tear drops mixed on her face. With one hand, she wiped them both, as if it didn’t matter which wet her face more. No, it wasn’t easy to stay apart for so long. Would he go again? What if he did? She couldn’t bear the idea.

He had asked to meet at the bus stop. Now it was getting very close. Time spent feeling lonely, wasn’t important anymore. He would see her soon, in her present state, wet and confused. She rushed to park her bicycle and turned towards the bus stop. There was a figure of a man. It must be him she thought, as she hurried her steps. The man was standing with the same briefcase. He turned around. Those big brown eyes, under a pair of thick eyebrows were now behind glasses.

Yes, it was him. They exchanged shy smiles. It was a terrific moment of joy. She wished, that moment would freeze, and allow her to gaze into his eyes. He seemed to be chasing words to say. Instead, he handed her a ticket and signaled to get on another bus. Before she could regain herself, they were leaving in a crowded bus, emptying their minds together. For her, it didn’t matter where the bus was headed. Finally, he said, “I’m home for good.” She nodded and said, “Let’s go home.”
